Most guitarmakers use some sort of glue (superglue or titebond) to glue fret in the fretboard of a guitar or bass. If you remove these fret during a refret chances are glue residue will be left in the fretslots. In order to perfectly seat new frets it is very important to clean out all glue residue and other dirt from the fretslots. For this job Hosco developed the Fret Cleaning Saw.

The fret cleaning saw has two sawblades: one blade has a "pull-cut" and the other blade has a "push-cut". The saw is lightweight and easy to handle making this the perfect tool for this job.
